About BiNet USA is America’s oldest bisexual rights organization, founded by volunteers in the 1990s to bring bi+ people together and advocate for equality. For decades, our volunteers organized BiNet gatherings, launched Bi Visibility Day and BiWeek, and fought for recognition in LGBTQIA+ spaces and broader society.
In 2019, BiNet USA temporarily dissolved as a nonprofit and transferred its intellectual property and assets to Faith Cheltenham, our longtime president and community organizer. Under Faith’s leadership, BiNet USA has relaunched as a for‑profit social enterprise within the XXYYZZ family of companies. This transition allows us to sustain our work, compensate survivors and contributors, and build innovative products and services that empower bi+ people and their allies.
We remain a civil‑rights organization at our core. Our goals now include:
– Mobilizing legal actions to address abuses in family courts, foster care systems and public policy.
– Developing ethical technologies like the BiNet Dating App and AI-driven reporting tools.
– Producing data and research that shines light on bi+ experiences across cultures and societies.
– Providing consulting, training and community engagement to employers, educators and policymakers.
We welcome all bisexual, pansexual, fluid and unlabeled people, plus our allies, to join us in shaping a just and inclusive future. BiNet USA is not aligned with any political party; we stand for personal freedom, truth, justice and the dignity of every person.
